Jostens Renaissance Honors DSUSD’s Terresa Amidei

Terresa Amidei Named Jostens Renaissance National Staffulty Member for the Month of April

Desert Sands Unified School District is proud to announce that Terresa Amidei is the recipient of the Jostens Renaissance National Staffulty Member of the Month Award for April 2021.

Amidei was selected based on her exceptional dedication and commitment to the values of Desert Ridge Academy and Jostens Renaissance. She has led the efforts to ensure that the climate and culture within the building is focused around the success of all students and staff.

As Pamela Alles, a fellow teacher at the school, stated in her nomination letter, “Terresa goes above and beyond to create an inclusive and welcoming environment for all our students and staffulty at Desert Ridge Academy. During this unique time of distance learning, she, along with her student leaders, have organized and produced two virtual rallies to celebrate student academic and character success. She has assisted other staffulty members in launching four new clubs to meet the interests and needs of our students. Her purpose and her ‘why’ always comes back to building and supporting student leaders and supporting our staffulty in any way possible.”

The Jostens Renaissance National Staffulty Member of the Month recognition is for a deserving staff or faculty member who has made an impact within their school or community through Jostens Renaissance. The program focuses on recognizing students and staff based on five core principles: what you Respect, Reward, Recognize, and Reinforce = Results.

Amidei is being showcased in the national Jostens Renaissance monthly newsletter and on their website and will receive several items of recognition.
