31-year-old Jurupa Valley Inmate dies on Sunday
BANNING — Tavae Stalks Walker, 31, of Jurupa Valley has been identified as the inmate who was found unresponsive in a housing unit on Sunday, Aug. 27, according to Deputy Ken Thurm.
Deputies from the Larry D. Smith Correctional Facility were alerted to an unresponsive male. Deputies and jail medical personnel immediately administered life-saving measures. Paramedics responded and assumed life-saving measures. However, he was ultimately pronounced deceased, according to Thurm.
Investigators from the Corrections Central Investigations Bureau responded and assumed the investigation.
