INDIO –  A new 25,000-square foot, two-story, Kia auto dealership will soon be taking up residence in the ever-expanding I-10 Auto Mall in Indio.  Indio’s Planning Commission unanimously granted conditional approval for a showroom and service station on a 3.5-acre parcel on Varner Road and Fifties Way.

“There’s no question there’s a need for a full sales and service Kia dealership in the east Valley,” said Paul J. Thiel, President of Fiesta Kia.  “Lots of owners live and work at this end of the Coachella Valley, and we are excited to complete this project.”  Thiel noted the new dealership will support an estimated 125 new jobs, and thanked the City of Indio for their support throughout the permitting process.

KIA Auto Dealership Coming to I-10 Auto MallFiesta Kia will become the 11th new car dealership at the I-10 Auto Mall, joining respected brands such as Ford, Honda, GMC, Toyota, Dodge, Chrysler and Volkswagen.

“We are thankful for the Thiel family’s continued investment in Indio and are happy to welcome Kia to the Coachella Valley’s largest auto mall,” Indio Mayor Elaine Holmes said in a prepared statement.

The project is expected to open in the summer of 2022 and has the potential to expand to a second phase of development at a later date. This new phase may involve new retail and restaurants west of the dealership.
