MSWD 2026 Calendar Drawing Contest Winners Are … [Sponsored]
Mission Springs Water District is proud to announce the winners of its 2026 student calendar drawing contest, with high school students taking top honors and winners from all grade levels being recognized.
“We have many talented students in our service area, and it is rewarding to see their creativity and artistic abilities shine,” said MSWD Assistant General Manager Marion Champion. “Congratulations to the winners and thank you to everyone who helped highlight these important topics.”
Top honors were awarded to:
- Nevaeh N. Desert Hot Springs High School 9th grade
- Valentina J. Desert Hot Springs High School 10th grade
- Joseph V. Desert Hot Springs High School 10th grade

The annual contest was open to all K-12 students within the MSWD service area. Artwork focuses on water conservation and groundwater protection, with topics such as saving water, proper disposal of fats, oils, and grease (FOG), water-wise car washing, drinking water quality, do not flush wipes (“flushable” wipes are not flushable), and water efficient desert landscaping. Participating students will receive a certificate of appreciation and a copy of the final calendar. For more information or to view the calendar online, please visit www.mswd.org/calendarcontest.
Free copies of the calendar are now available for pick-up in the MSWD customer service lobby and at select locations throughout Desert Hot Springs, including City Hall, the DHS Library, and the DHS Recreation Center.
