Who will you nominate for the Hero Awards?

CATHEDRAL CITY — It’s time for the Hero Awards dinner. The Rotary Club of Cathedral City is asking for nominations of Coachella Valley citizens who have risen above the norm in serving our citizens in one of the Avenues of Rotary service: Vocational, Community, Youth and International.

The nominee may be a resident of Cathedral City, who is working in other cities, or a resident of other cites, but serve/work in Cathedral City, or have influence over the lives of its residents. They must
be nominated in one of the Avenues of Service designations prior to Sept. 15.

The Rotary Club will recognize these outstanding citizens by honoring them at the second annual “Hero Awards Dinner,” to be held on Oct. 28 at the Mountain View Grille and Resort in Cathedral City.

Nominators, family, friends, and the general public will be sent an invitation to join the special evening event.

Last year’s heroes were from PSUSD, the Cathedral City Fire Department, the Cathedral City Detective Division, the Alzheimer’s Association of the Coachella Valley, The Cathedral City Senior Center, The Boys and Girls Club of Cathedral City, and other citizens from the valley.

Isn’t there someone that you can think of, from business, an organization, or a neighbor who deserves recognition? If so, please contact Laura Ahmed, past president at TeeLaura1@gmail.com for a nomination form before Sept.  1.
