Back by popular demand, the city of Palm Springs is welcoming everyone with an interest in the affairs of the city to a second Community Forum on Tuesday, May 1, hosted by Councilmembers Geoff Kors and J.R. Roberts.

The 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. forum will be held at the Palm Springs Convention Center, 277 N. Avenida Caballeros.

A similar forum was held in November 2017, which Kors and Roberts also hosted.

The event will be conducted more as a “community conversation” so that issues of importance can be discussed in a less formal atmosphere than a typical Council meeting.

In addition, the city manager and department heads will be present to
answer questions and listen to public comments.

Residents are encouraged to address any issues of interest, including Measure C, the vacation rental June ballot initiative, questions about potential new voting districts in Palm Springs, cannabis, the downtown development project and proposed new park, or any other topic that affects the Palm Springs community.

The results of the forum will be presented to the City Council to use as part of its ongoing goal-setting and strategic planning.

The public is welcome to attend and share their input.

Residents will be able to watch the forum the following day online at
www.palmspringsca.gov or on Palm Springs Community Television Channel 17
