Palm Springs Juneteenth Freedom Weekend Celebration Set for June 18–20

PALM SPRINGS —The city of Palm Springs and the Palm Springs Black History Committee, welcome residents and visitors to celebrate Palm Springs Juneteenth Freedom Weekend on June 18–20, 2026. This FREE, three-day community celebration honors the legacy of Juneteenth through cultural expression, education, unity, and empowerment.

Juneteenth Kickoff Celebration
Thursday, June 18 at 7 p.m. Village Fest – along Palm Canyon Drive in Downtown Palm Springs

Attendees can enjoy special Juneteenth programming, entertainment, community engagement, and opportunities to support local vendors and businesses.

Juneteenth Unity Picnic
Friday, June 19 at 5 p.m. Downtown Park – Museum Way and Belardo Road
An evening of fellowship and celebration at the Juneteenth Unity Picnic. The free event will feature food, music, activities, and opportunities to connect while commemorating the significance of Juneteenth and the ongoing pursuit of unity and equality. Vendors will be selling food and drinks.

Juneteenth Concert
Friday, June 19 at 7 p.m., Downtown Park – Museum Way and Belardo Road

This free concert will feature an electrifying performance by Debby Holiday’s Tina Turner Tribute Show, honoring the legendary Queen of Rock ’n’ Roll with all the energy, spirit, and iconic hits you know and love. Bring your lawn chairs, gather with family and friends, and enjoy a night of great entertainment as we commemorate freedom, culture, and unity. All ages are welcome.

Juneteenth Youth Pageant
Saturday, June 20, doors open at 5:30 p.m. James O. Jessie Desert Highland Unity Center — 480 Tramview Road Admission: $10

The Juneteenth Youth Pageant highlights the talents, leadership, and achievements of local young people. This inspiring event celebrates youth excellence while encouraging confidence, cultural pride, and community involvement.
