During the sweep Gang Task Force Officers conducted multiple compliance checks at the homes of subjects currently on supervised release.

During the operation Gang Task Force Officers collected one illegally possessed loaded .22 caliber rifle and seized narcotics to include methamphetamine, heroin and cocaine.

The following subjects were arrested: Dustin Ritter, Donald Berry, Michael Granados and Jose Dorado.

This is not the first sweep of its kind. In September 2020, during a probation compliance check at a residence in the 66000 block of Fifth Street in Desert Hot Springs, Gang Task Force officers located two loaded 9mm semi-auto handguns with no serial numbers, extended handgun magazines, a handgun silencer and handgun ammunition.

Over a five-day period in June, a countywide warrant sweep resulted in 116 arrests of suspects with warrants ranging from vandalism to attempted murder.
