FBI tyranny protesters encouraged to be peaceful
RIVERSIDE — In the wake of an FBI raid on Former President Donald Trump’s Florida home at Mar-a-Lago on Monday, Aug. 8, a Nationwide Protest of FBI Tyranny is set in Riverside at 9 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 10.
The protest will be held at FBI Headquarters at 3480 Vine St. in Riverside.
Participants are encouraged to bring flags and signs. Attendees are also encouraged to be “peaceful” and “law abiding at all times.”
Sources told Uken Report that Joy Miedecke, president of East Valley Republican Women Federated, sent the email about the protest. Miedecke did not return Uken Report’s two requests for comment.
Riverside County Sheriff Chad Bianco told Uken Report that, “We have not been asked for support from the feds but we are monitoring and will be prepared to respond if needed, or for anything at our downtown buildings. As of now, other than the protest, there is nothing to cause alarm.”
Trump said Monday that the FBI “raided” his home at Mar-a-Lago and even cracked his safe, with a source familiar with the matter telling NBC News that the search was tied to classified information Trump allegedly took with him from the White House to his Palm Beach resort in January 2021.
Trump also claimed in a written statement that the search — unprecedented in American history — was politically motivated, though he did not provide specifics.
“These are dark times for our Nation, as my beautiful home, Mar-A-Lago in Palm Beach, Florida, is currently under siege, raided, and occupied by a large group of FBI agents,” Trump said in a lengthy email statement issued by his Save America political committee.
“After working and cooperating with the relevant Government agencies, this unannounced raid on my home was not necessary or appropriate,” Trump said before bemoaning: “They even broke into my safe!”
According to the Associated Press, after the FBI executed a search warrant at his Florida estate, the Republican Party unified swiftly behind the former president.
