Palm Springs Public Library Hosting Spooktacular Drive-thru Halloween Event

PALM SPRINGS – The Palm Springs Public Library is hosting a free community event called Spooktacular Drive-Thru on Wednesday, Oct. 27, 2021 from 4 to 6 p.m.

PS Power Baseball, Mizell Center and PS Parks & Recreation will each have a station located in the parking lot in front of the Library and will hand out candy and treats as participants drive through.

Special appearances by beloved book character Pete the Cat and local star Rocky the Ram will also be part of the fun! Participants are encouraged to dress up in their Halloween costumes, wear a face mask, stay in their cars and drive through the Library’s parking lot to receive a goodie bag, books, and a special gift for flashing your Palm Springs library card! There will also be an entry form to complete to enter our giveaway for one of four $25 Amazon gift cards.  Winners will be contacted during the week following the event.

“We are excited to be bringing back some Halloween fun!” said Jeannie Kays, Director of Library Services. “Staying in your car and driving through helps keep everyone safe but still provides an opportunity for all of these organizations and the Library to interact with our community.”

The Palm Springs Public Library offers a varied and comprehensive collection and online resources to the community. The Library is located at 300 S. Sunrise Way, on the corner of Sunrise Way and Baristo Road. For more information about the Library call 760-322-READ (7323) or visit the Library’s website by clicking here.
