PSUSD to Host Third Annual Diversity and Racial Equity Conference

PSUSD Hosts Diversity, Racial Equity ConferencePALM SPRINGS — Palm Springs Unified School District will hold its third annual Diversity and Racial Equity Conference themed “Allyship and Beyond” on Saturday, Sept. 7 at the Palm Springs Convention Center from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Breakfast is included, and there will be raffle prizes as well. Doors open at 8 a.m., so arrive early to enjoy the community partner tables and grab your seat.

Admission is free and open to all.

  • White Allyship John Prince (DSMS Counselor) and Annie Axsom (CYES teacher)
  • Elevating African American Students with Kevin Taylor (Nicole Anderson and Consultants)
  • Building Bridges: Creating Comunidad Between School and Latino Students with Principal Omar Tinoco (DHSHS Principal)
  • Supporting LGBTQ+ Students and Families with Dr. Vinnie Pompei (published author, LGBTQ+ advocate, SDSU professor)
