Palm Springs voters have four major decisions to make on Nov. 7, but only those registered to vote will get to decide for the majority of residents.

Registered voters will decide to will fill the City Council seats currently occupied by Chris Mills and Ginny Foat. There six options but only two will be victorious. Those vying for the spots are: Christy Holstege, Lisa Middleton, Henry Hampton, Judy Deertrack, Julian Stone and Glenn Flood.

Voters will also decide whether to authorize the city to increase the city sales tax by a half cent to pay for essential services such as police and fire. The measure is expected to raise an estimated $6 million to $7 million annually.

Those registered will also decide whether to authorize the city to apply the existing tax on medical marijuana collectives to all marijuana businesses.

This election will be conducted both by mail and at polling locations.

The deadline to request a vote-by-mail ballot is October 31.
