PALM SPRINGS – Ah, September. This is the month to commemorate National Cheeseburger Day! There is no better place to toast the day than at Tyler’s Burgers located in Downtown Palm Springs, 149 S. Indian Canyon Drive.

Mark your calendars now for Sept. 18.

Frankly, any day is a good day to snack on Tyler’s Burgers. They are everything a burger should be: fresh, sizzling hot, and juicy.

They also serve malts, shakes, and root beer floats, and, of course, French fries.

Tyler’s Burgers is located in a simple, historic, and unassuming building with a shaded adjoining patio. The atmosphere is casual, laid back, and exudes a sense of family and belonging.

There are no frills and gimmicks, just good food. All meat is ground fresh daily and served on a freshly baked toasted bun. The beauty of these burgers can be found in their simplicity.

This gem is a legend in Palm Springs. Tyler’s Burgers has a loyal following. Their devotees consume some 2,000 pounds of meat per day.

Hours are 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Lines form fast, but don’t get discouraged, the burgers are worth every second of the wait.

If you’re not the cheeseburger type, but are celebrating the day with someone who is, Tyler’s Burgers has something for everyone.  The hamburger stand offers vegetarian friendly and gluten-free options. They also offer hot dogs,

Owner Diane D’Amico relies on the recipe that her mother perfected at a burger stand on California’s Venice Beach Boardwalk to feed the hungry.

Tyler’s closes during July and August just long enough for loyalists to miss, really miss, them.

They opened Sept. 1 just in time for National Cheeseburger Day. Timing is everything.

If your mouth is watering, mission accomplished. See you there.
