If you have never attended the celebrity-fueled Palm Springs International Film Festival Awards Gala, now is your chance to attend for free.
Five lucky Palm Springs residents and their guests will get the opportunity to walk the red carpet at the star-studded 2018 Palm Springs International Film Festival Awards Gala on Tuesday, Jan. 2 at the Palm Springs Convention Center.
The city of Palm Springs is the Title Sponsor of the Festival, which runs Jan. 2-15, 2018.
The city receives two tables to the Gala as part of the sponsorship agreement with the Festival. The City Council decided Wednesday to create an opportunity drawing for residents to win a chance to attend the glamorous Gala, the biggest event of the Coachella Valley season.
Only Palm Springs residents are eligible to enter the opportunity drawing. To enter, visit the City’s Website HERE then go to “In the Spotlight” on the front page where you will find a link to the application.
The application must be submitted online no later than 4 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 21.
The Palm Springs International Film Festival is one of the largest film festivals in North America, welcoming more than 135,000 attendees each year for its lineup of new and celebrated international features and documentaries.
The Festival is also known for its annual Film Awards Gala, honoring the best achievements of the filmic year by a celebrated list of talents. Produced by the Palm Springs International Film Society, the Festival offers 14 days of events and film screenings featuring over 180 films.
