About Families will hold festival at Empire Polo Club in Indio

INDIO — About Families Inc. will host the 16th Annual Fall Family Festival on Sunday, Nov. 5, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at The Forum, part of the Empire Polo Club.

The free event combines amusement, games, crafts, wellness and resources for Coachella Valley families.

Enjoy live entertainment, a petting zoo and pony rides, food vendors and car seat safety checks by the
California Highway Patrol.

“We invite your household out for an informative and entertaining occasion. Our goal is to foster community and raise awareness of all the incredible programs and services available in the region,” Organization CEO and Founder Joanna Boles Whitlow said. “No matter your age, you’ll find something to love!”

More than 2,000 attendees are expected, according to festival organizers.

The Forum, the spacious superstructure at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, will be lined with more than 50 exhibitors and vendors all focused on fun-filled family activities.

Local businesses or organizations interested in helping families are encouraged to apply for exhibitor space and sponsorship. Its mission is to educate families on the emotional, mental, and physical experiences involved during pregnancy, postpartum, and early parenthood.

The organization is a local 501c3 nonprofit organization dedicated to family support and education from pregnancy through childhood years.

You may purchase wristbands in advance for the petting zoo, bounce houses, inflatables and pony rides for a discounted price. You may also purchase raffle tickets for the bike raffle.
