Avelo Airlines will begin serving Palm Springs this fall with three nonstop routes to Bend, Eugene and Santa Rosa

PALM SPRINGS — Avelo Airlines announced it will begin serving Palm Springs, CA this fall with seasonal nonstop service to three popular destinations in Northern California and Oregon. Beginning Nov. 11, Avelo will be the only airline serving Palm Springs to fly direct to Santa Rosa/Sonoma, Calif., as well as Bend and Eugene, Ore.

The airline will be become the 14th to provide service in and out of Palm Springs International Airport. Some other airlines include: Flair, United, Southwest, JetBlue, Delta, Alaska, Air Canada and American.

Announcement of another new airline comes as the airport reports record activity this year. PSP began setting new passenger records in June 2021, a trend that has continued every month since, with the exception of January and February which saw a temporary slowdown in air travel due to the Omicron variant of COVID. While January and February 2022 were not record-breaking months, they exceeded January and February 2021 by 200.2% and 142.3%, respectively.

Palm Springs International Airport (PSP) becomes the 30th destination on Avelo’s U.S. route map. One-way introductory fares starting at $29* are available by clicking here.

Avelo Airlines Chairman and CEO Andrew Levy said, “Palm Springs – say hello to Avelo! We are excited to add Palm Springs to Avelo’s nationwide network of 30 destinations. Traveling between PSP and these three popular Northern CA and Oregon destinations now easier and more affordable than ever. We look forward to bringing more choice and convenience to Palm Springs travelers just in time for the holiday vacation season.”

Harry Barrett, Executive Director of Aviation said, “We’re thrilled to welcome another new airline to Palm Springs. The level of growth our airport has experienced over the past year has been impressive, and we’re excited to see Avelo Airlines come to PSP. Our airport is an economic engine for the region, and the growth in air access has increased tourism and made it easier for locals to choose to fly PSP instead of driving to LA.”

Scott White, President and CEO of Visit Greater Palm Springs said, “We are excited to welcome Avelo Airlines and three new nonstop flights to Greater Palm Springs. We look forward to partnering with Avelo to inspire travelers from Santa Rosa, Eugene and Redmond to experience our oasis of outdoor experiences and healthy lifestyle.”
