CAMFest – A Week-Long Virtual Artistic Experience will be held Dec. 6-12

Following three years of success, the Children’s Art and Music Festival (CAMFest), sponsored by the Desert Sands Educational Foundation (DSEF) will move from their location at the Indian Wells Tennis Gardens to a virtual celebration.

The event, traditionally held in December with multiple stages and areas for art and film.will continue to present the talents of students from Desert Sands Unified School District.

CAMFest: A Week-Long Virtual Artistic ExperienceThe past three years found a day of the celebration of the arts to not only be a community experience but an opportunity to raise funds for continued support of the arts in the classrooms. The mission of DSEF is to raise supplemental funds to directly support teachers as they provide instruction in the arts. The fourth annual children’s art and music  festival has been retitled CAMFest Goes On! and  will be  a  week-long  virtual  artistic  experience  viewed  the  week  of  December  6-12  at  6 pm  on various  media  platforms including YouTube.

Performances move from the stages to video. Sunday, December 6 at 6:00 pm will be an introduction to CAMFest as well as focus on the visual arts. Monday, December 7 brings vocalists to the screen. Tuesday, December 8 will be all about theatre and shine a spotlight on the the pians of DSUSD. Put on your dancing shoes on Wednesday, December 9 and try and keep up with our dancers. Thursday, December 10 is back to music as the bands of the district tune up. Friday, December 11 is focused on electronic art and the photographers and videographers who will someday find their names on the big screen. Saturday, December 12 is our grand finale with a little bit of everything combined into one highlight video.
