CATHEDRAL CITY – Downtown, the heart of this community, will be beating with the energy of the Fifth Annual Cathedral LGBT Days when they get underway Friday, March 29 and continue through Sunday, March 31.

Cathedral City LGBT Days is the first Pride event of the year.

The weekend gets started at 6 p.m. Friday, March 29 with a Kick-Off Block Party. This indoor/outdoor party will feature dance music by DJ Galaxy and a musical performance by the legendary Keisha D’. It all takes place in the parking lot behind The Roost and AMP Sports Lounge. The Kick-Off Block Party is hosted by The Roost Lounge, AMP Sports Lounge and Trunks Cathedral City.

The fun doesn’t start and stop there. There is a meet-and-greet with Rocco Steele from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Runway Restaurant and Bar.

While Cathedral City LGBT Days are packed with fun and excitement all weekend long, Saturday, March 30 is the not-be-missed Pride Party from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The morning starts with a performance by Modern Men Chorus on the Main Stage in Downtown Cathedral City in front of City Hall at 10:15 a.m. While you’re there, mark your spot to watch the Cathedral City LGBT Days Bed Race, one of the most competitive events you will witness. The Bed Race begins at 11 a.m.

“It’s our Pride Parade with a little drama and suspense as teams race for the fastest time, compete for best decorated, or show their pride for best spirited group,” according to Chris Parman, Communications / Events Manager “There’s still time to put on some racing shoes or fancy pumps and enter the race – but hurry.”
