COD Class of 2024 Graduates Prepare for Big Day

College of the Desert Holds Grad Fest for Class of 2024

PALM DESERT — With College of the Desert’s 60th commencement ceremony rapidly approaching, the class of 2024 is in preparation mode. As such, graduates are welcome to attend Grad Fest, happening Thursday, April 11 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Palm Desert Campus Gymnasium.

At this event, students who have been cleared for graduation will have the opportunity to register for the ceremony, take photos, create memories, and more.

“Grad Fest is a great opportunity to pause during the final weeks of school and share in the excitement for graduation,” said Vice President of Instruction and Student Services Val Martinez Garcia. “We are immensely proud of the Class of 2024, and we wish each of our graduates the best as they embark on their next adventures.”

In addition to registering for graduation, at Grad Fest 2024, graduates can take professional graduation photos, decorate their caps, visit with representatives from four-year colleges and universities, and enjoy light refreshments. Students can also collect their complimentary graduation regalia, which has been provided for by the COD Foundation and its generous contributors.

College of the Desert’s campus-wide commencement ceremony will be taking place May 21 at the Acrisure Arena. A graduation ticket is required for admission.
