Desert Care Network is looking to add nearly 100 jobs among its three acute-care hospitals in the Coachella Valley and Morongo Basin: Desert Regional Medical Center, JFK Memorial Hospital and Hi-Desert Medical Center.

To attract the best and brightest, Desert Care Network will hold job fairs for nursing and allied health professionals on Feb. 5 and Feb. 6. Desert Care Network is looking for healthcare professionals with current California licenses, degrees and appropriate certifications as well as recent experience in the following areas: registered nursing, physical therapy, occupational therapy and speech language pathology. Desert Care Network provides competitive pay and benefits for its jobs.

Sign-on bonuses of up to $15,000 will be paid for selected positions.

Desert Care Network is on trend with the rest of the country when it comes to jobs.

December 2018 brought the U.S. healthcare industry’s largest monthly spike in the number of new hires since at least February 1990, according to Modern Healthcare.

Healthcare added 50,200 jobs in December, the largest numeric increase in new hires in Modern Healthcare’s monthly jobs data, which stretches back to February 1990. Hiring in the industry jumped 56 percent from November, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics’ December jobs report. The last time healthcare hiring surpassed 40,000 in a single month was in October 2015, the data show.

Desert Regional Medical Center in Palm Springs currently employs 2,250 employees and looking to add 45 more from the job fair.

JFK Memorial in Indio currently has 600 employees and is looking to add 20 more.

Hi-Desert Medical Center in Joshua Tree currently has 500 employees and is looking to add 15-20 from the job fair.

  • February 5, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. – Hi-Desert Medical Center, The Helen Grey Education Center, 6601 White Feather Road, Joshua Tree.
  • February 6, from 9:00 a.m. to 4 p.m. – Desert Regional Medical Center, The Stergios Building, 1150 North Indian Canyon Drive, Palm Springs.
