New Palm Springs Restaurant I Heart Mac & Cheese Hires General Manager

PALM SPRINGS – January 12, 2022: I Heart Mac & Cheese, a fast-casual restaurant concept that offers traditional mac and cheese and sandwich and health-conscious options, today announced that the new Palm Springs location has hired Jada Miranda as the General Manager of the restaurant, currently under construction at Arenas Rd and S. Indian Canyon Dr. in Downtown Palm Springs. When it opens in Spring, it will be the first I Heart Mac & Cheese location in the state.

“We are thrilled to have hired Jada Miranda for this important position at I Heart Mac & Cheese,” said Blu Bryan, CEO and Founder of BMC Foods, franchisee of the new restaurant. “I am personally dedicated to hiring a diverse and inclusive team, and I am working with local charities when hiring so as to have the greatest impact on the community that we will proudly serve. Jada is likely the first transgendered person to hold the position of GM in a Palm Springs restaurant. We look forward to filling additional positions in the coming months.”

As General Manager, Miranda will be in charge of all restaurant operations, including overseeing employees, providing exceptional customer care, and ensuring quality control over the menu items. Prior to taking this position, Miranda served as the Director of Product Development for a prestigious online E-commerce manufacturing and fulfillment company and was one of the three founders of this organization for nearly a decade. She was responsible for the sustainable development of new products and played a key role in the development of new technology in the fashion industry, as well as being a part of developing core processes that impacted the organization.

“I’ve been a part of two successful startups from the ground up, so I am familiar with the growing pains of starting a new organization,” said Miranda. “At BMC Foods LLC, the local company managing the I Heart Mac and Cheese Palm Spring franchise, we value diversity and life experiences in all of our employees. As a transgender woman, I have developed a unique human perspective on life and I look forward to working with Blu to hire an outstanding team of professionals at our new location.”

Miranda is a lifetime title holder and an active member of the Imperial Council of San Francisco, a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) Public Benefit Corporation. It hosts and participates in a variety of entertainment and educational events and activities to raise funds that support other diverse community-based charitable organizations that do not discriminate based upon race, age, gender, sexual orientation, religion or ethnic background. Miranda has been an active member of this organization for more than 20 years.
