City of Indio Issues Reminder to Vote for Abi Carter

As many may know and have been supporting, Indio native, Abi Carter is a contestant currently on American Idol. If she makes it to the Top 3 (which we have every expectation that she will), we will be hosting a hometown visit for her on Tuesday, May 14.

This event will be open to the public and free to attend. There is a tentative parade and concert in the works that will take place in the evening but nothing is confirmed. More details to be announced soon. Please see enclosed graphic for use.

The community is excited at the prospect of being able to celebrate Abi making it to the Top 3. To ensure she makes it to the Top 3, it is imperative that the community votes for her starting at 5 p.m. this Sunday: https://idolvote.abc.com

Due to this special event, the will not be hosting our Second Saturdays event for May. Please mark your calendars for our June Second Saturdays concert on June 8!

The twenty-second season of American Idol premiered on February 18, 2024, on the ABC television network. Ryan Seacrest returned as host, while Luke Bryan, Katy Perry, and Lionel Richie returned as judges. The season is Perry’s final on the show; she announced her departure on February 13, 2024, five days before the premiere.
