LA QUINTA — Are you a real estate tycoon? Do you have business acumen that you want to demonstrate while sitting at a Monopoly board? Can you blow away the competition with your business-savvy decisions and a wink and nod from Lady Luck?

If you answered “yes” to any of these questions, you will not want to miss the opportunity to show off your skills at LifeStream Blood Bank’s Mega Monopoly Tournament & Mixer on Thursday, Sept. 12 at the Palm Springs Hyatt Hotel. The mixer is 5:30 to 6 p.m. with tournament play commencing at 6 p.m.

What is your favorite game piece? The ship? Dog? Wheelbarrow?

Unlike your childhood games and tournaments, the Mega Monopoly tournament works like this:

The first 200 people who register by clicking here will play in the 90-minute first round. The entry fee is $60 per person. At the end of the round, the “player” at each table with the most assets (real estate and cash) wins a prize package and advances to the final round.

The final round also is 90 minutes; at the end of the round the “player” at each table with the most assets wins $100 in prizes.

The “player” with the most assets of all finalists will win the Mega Monopoly Prize worth at least $600, a trophy, and bragging rights as the “Top Tycoon.”

In addition to cheering on their favorite colleagues and friends, attendees who pay the $25 general admission fee will enjoy light appetizers and entertainment; a cash bar also will be available. Raffle drawings will be held for valuable prizes including a stay at the Palm Springs Hyatt Hotel.
