City Council to Hold Special Meeting Today, Tuesday, Dec. 16
PALM DESERT – The Palm Desert City Council will hold a special meeting at 1:30 p.m. today, Tuesday, Dec. 16, to consider a request for action brought forward by Mayor Pro Tem Joe Pradetto during the council’s regular meeting on Dec. 11.
The agenda includes a single action item: consideration of a request to rescind City Council resolution 2024-038, related to LGBTQ Pride Month commemorations, and to discuss amendments to resolution 2018-09, which affirms the city’s commitment to diversity and inclusion.
Acknowledging the public interest surrounding this request, the City Council is convening this special meeting to ensure the item is considered transparently and in full view of the community.
