Coachella Valley Real-Time Intelligence Center Collaborative Initiative Involving Multiple Partner Agencies

PALM SPRINGS —The Palm Springs Police Department is spearheading the development of the Coachella Valley Real-Time Intelligence Center, a regional public safety hub designed to enhance emergency response and crime prevention throughout the Coachella Valley.

CVRTIC is a collaborative initiative involving multiple partner agencies, including Cathedral City, Desert Hot Springs, Indio, and the Agua Caliente Band of Cahuilla Indians. The Center will serve as a centralized platform for integrating real-time data from a wide range of sources, including body-worn cameras, license plate readers, unmanned aerial systems (drones), social media feeds, and 911 calls.

The CVRTIC is designed to support faster threat identification, improve situational awareness, and enable coordinated multi-jurisdictional operations. These capabilities will allow participating agencies to respond more quickly to critical incidents and take a more proactive approach to public safety.

CVRTIC represents a significant milestone in regional law enforcement collaboration, streamlining information sharing and reducing response times across jurisdictions. Officially opened in December 2025 and being launched in phases, the Center reflects a long-term investment in the safety and security of the Coachella Valley.
