Greetings to Voters in Palm Desert District Five! [Sponsored]

My name is Ralph Perry. I have served on two city committees for five years including one year as Chairman of the Parks and Recreation Committee.

I have attended over 75 non-partisan meetings at city hall over time. Palm Desert has many outstanding assets. These include our beautiful parks, our majestic desert environment and trails, plus our solid financial status.  As a way of reaching out, to “Support Diversity” is one of my goals.

In 2021, we began committee discussions of a new library. I currently serve on the Library Advisory Committee. As your council member, I want to see our new library next to city hall, to be completed in 2028/2029.

In 2024, I assisted in a non-partisan way as the local Democratic Club president, with the passage of Measure G. The measure won by over 16,000 votes bringing additional funds to the city. This was to help build the new library, fund additional law enforcement personnel and build new fire stations with state-of-the-art equipment.  Being a member of the city council will be a full-time commitment, not just part-time.

Therefore, I will be available for in-home visits for discussion of your priorities as well as Neighborhood Watch Meetings, HOA Boards, local clubs and meetings for non-profit organizations. I believe in personal relationships built on friendship and trust.

I look forward to meeting you to boost your confidence in government and be a listener.  I enjoy sharing ideas and want to hear yours.
