Many of the cities in in the 28th Senate District have large veteran populations.

Rancho Mirage (16.32 percent), Palm Desert (11.67 percent) and Palm Springs (10.6 percent) have the district’s largest veteran populations.

How many of those live with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder?

The Foundation has provided more than $62,000 in support to K9s For Warriors, a non-profit organization dedicated to providing service dogs to military veterans suffering from PTSD.

K9s For Warriors provides service canines to veterans suffering from Post-traumatic Stress Disability, traumatic brain injury, and/or military sexual trauma as a result of military service post-9/11.
