Tastes & Sounds of Cathedral City

Cathedral City High School Band

CATHERAL CITY — The inaugural Tastes & Sounds of Cathedral City began Tuesday, Feb. 13, featuring free food and music and will be held every Tuesday from 5-7 p.m. at the popular Cathedral City Community Amphitheater from Feb. 13 to April 9.

The Tastes & Sounds series kicks off with a hometown favorite: the Cathedral City High School Band.

Each week will feature a local artist performing while a local restaurant or food truck provides dinner.

Visitors can enjoy culinary experiences while listening to live music in a beautiful outdoor setting with panoramic views of the mountains. Each one will be free and open to the community and is a great way to connect with others while enjoying great food and music.

“It continues to be our goal as a Communications & Events team to celebrate the city’s vibrancy and
diversity through our local events,” Ryan Hunt, the city’s communications and events manager, said in a statement. “The Cathedral City Community Amphitheater is a beautiful location, and we’re excited to showcase it weekly and provide more free and affordable entertainment to our residents and Coachella Valley visitors.”

No tickets or reservations are required in advance. Limited picnic tables will be available, but please feel free to bring your own blanket and/or lawn chair. Food will be available for purchase. It’s set to include Cathedral City’s own Meester Zebra (Feb. 13 & Feb. 20), Smokey Lips BBQ (Feb. 27), and many more.
