COD Project Management Team to Review Design Plans for Planned Palm Springs Campus

PALM DESERT — The project management team assigned to expedite completion of the schematic design for the first phase of the College of the Desert Palm Springs Campus will meet May 17 from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

The meeting will take place in the Multi-Purpose Room at the Donald and Peggy Cravens Student Services Center at the COD Palm Desert Campus and be broadcast live on the College website and College YouTube page. Comments can be submitted in person or virtually during the online meeting prior to the end of the public comment period.

WRNS Studio, lead architects for the project, will share updated project site plans, floor plans, and renderings with the project management team for discussion and feedback prior to finalizing plans for presentation at what is scheduled to be the fourth and final team meeting scheduled for 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. on June 14.

Earlier this year, the Desert Community College District Board of Trustees approved schematic design plans for the first phase of the Palm Springs Campus, directing staff to incorporate several adjustments prior to proceeding with final design and construction plans for submittal to the state for final approval.

All meeting agendas, meeting links and presentations for the public meetings are posted on the college website and on the COD bond Palm Springs projects page.
