“I am endorsing Jeff Gonzalez for State Assembly because he is pro-public safety, plain and simple,” Bianco said in a statement. “Jeff is a U.S. Marine who understands the challenges law enforcement personnel face serving on the front lines. Jeff will back our first responders, hold criminals accountable, and most importantly, work to help keep Riverside County safe.”

He is seeking the seat Assemblymember Eduardo Garcia now holds. Garcia is not seeking reelection.

District 36 encompasses the counties of San Bernardino, Riverside, and Imperial Valley. Gonzalez is one of seven people vying for the seat.

The top two vote-getters regardless of party affiliation will compete in the general election in November.

“I am thankful public safety leaders like Sheriff Bianco are endorsing my campaign,” Gonzalez said. “Right now, we need new leadership in the State Assembly to immediately address California’s crime crisis. My mission in Sacramento is to fight for a safe California and fix our state.”

Bianco added his name to a growing list of endorsements behind Gonzalez’s campaign. Public safety leaders and organizations continue to endorse Gonzalez because they know his mission is to fight for a safe California.
