Supporting Students Every Step of the Way [Sponsored]PALM DESERT — Bearing some resemblance to Black Friday or Cyber Monday shoppers, many students are eager to secure their desired classes. This year, priority registration began Dec. 2, and open registration began Dec. 10. Current students will be able to view their priority status in their Self-Service portal.

In supporting students and Back by popular demand, College of the Desert will host a Roadrunner Rally event on January 15 from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Indio Campus. Attendees will have the opportunity to speak with counselors about enrollment, registration and financial aid. Free food will also be available. Students should note that changes have been made to the FASFA application. Therefore, it is pertinent that applications are completed early to ensure students can get their questions answered prior to deadlines.

The winter and spring semesters promise more educational opportunities and flexible options than ever before with a wide range of courses and class formats. Fast Track Classes, which are built on condensed timeframes, allow students to complete degrees and certificates at an accelerated rate. Many of these classes are also offered online or in-person for added flexibility. Unlike traditional classes, Fast Track Classes have staggered start dates and remain open for enrollment until the class is filled.
