PALM DESERT – True Value, a chain retailer that carries household tools, supplies, and more, will lease the last anchor space in the One Eleven Town Center, Wilson Meade Commercial Real Estate announced. It is projected to open in the fall.

The store, which will occupy nearly 12,000 square feet, will be centrally located in Palm Desert at Town Center Way and Highway 111.

“The One Eleven Town Center is a highly desirable location in the Coachella Valley, and True Value will be the perfect complement to other respected retailers there including Whole Foods, Nordstrom Rack and Home Goods,” Heather Sharp, Executive Vice President of Wilson Meade, said in a prepared statement. Sharp represented both the owner and tenant in the agreement.

The space True Value will be twice the size of the operator’s first Coachella Valley store, located in North Palm Desert off Varner Road.

“We’re really excited to be opening another location in such a prime spot at the center of the Valley, and Heather Sharp was instrumental in guiding us through this process,” said Jeff Lohman, an independent owner/operator of True Value. “Being adjacent to Whole Foods, Nordstrom Rack and Home Goods played a big part in our decision. Our products will work well with what they offer, and this will diversify the center and truly make it one-stop shopping for consumers with our addition of home and business improvement supplies.”

Lohman said that they focus on having knowledgeable, friendly service representatives that work diligently to meet the needs of the customer.

“We’ll get the right product for you, and if we don’t have it, we’ll steer you in the right direction to find it,” he said.

True Value has 4,400 stores worldwide with retail sales in their respective communities totaling about $5.5 billion – with 13 regional distribution centers and approximately 2,500 True Value associates.  It has served the hardware needs of millions for more than seven decades
