Walter Clark Legal Group Donates 4,500 Backpacks to Students for School Year
RANCHO MIRAGE – Some 4,500 backpacks are being distributed to students across Southern California as they prepare to return to school, courtesy of the Walter Clark Legal Group. Backpack deliveries and distributions are scheduled to take place over the coming weeks at the following schools and districts:
- 350 backpacks to students at Kennedy Elementary School during the Chalk the Walk Event on August 11, 2026, from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. on the school’s campus in Indio, CA.
- 1,500 backpacks at CVUSD’s Westside Elementary School on August 4, 2026 from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. and Saul Martinez Elementary School August 6, 2026 from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m.
- 435 backpacks to students at McKinley Elementary School during their Back-To-School Night in August (TBD), 2026, on the school’s campus in El Centro, CA.
- 1,600 backpacks to students in the Victor Elementary School District during the week of July 27-31 at the VESD Family Resource Center.
- 625 backpacks to students at Cabot Yerxa Elementary School on August 6, 2026, from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. on the school’s campus in Desert Hot Springs, CA.
The backpacks and school supplies are the result of a $50,000 purchase made by the personal injury law firm to help families in the Southern California communities it serves.
“We are proud to have expanded this program from a $11,000 investment a few years ago to more than $50,000 this year,” said Walter Clark, CEO and President of Walter Clark Legal Group. “The growth allowed us to add another school and support even more students as they prepare for a successful school year.”
As the rising cost of consumer goods continues to strain family budgets, Walter Clark Legal Group wants to help ease the pressure. Education tops the list of social issues important to Clark, who strongly believes that “democracy cannot succeed without education.” This donation is one of several campaigns executed each year by the personal injury law firm to provide students with essential resources and equitable access to education.
