Dan Ball, one of five Republican candidates vying for the 36th Congressional District seat now held by Democratic Congressman Dr. Raul Ruiz, is taking his campaign to Facebook Live.

Ball will take questions via Facebook Live at 2 p.m. Sunday, April 22. He said he looks forward to “listening to your concerns and answering your questions.”

If you have a question you’ve been wanting to ask him, now is the time.

“We’re in the digital age,” Ball told Uken Report. “This is the most effective and most affordable way to reach constituents and get feedback from them.”

All questions are welcome, Ball said.

Social media is a great way to interact with people in a transparent manner, Ball said.

“Their questions will be answered in real time,” Ball said. “The traditional road signs don’t allow that. This is a way for constituents to really get to know you.”

As a former television anchor, Ball is turning to his sweet spot — in front of the camera — to connect with voters in advance of the June 5 Primary.

The other four Republicans challenging Ruiz are Kimberlin Brown Pelzer, Doug Hassett, Stephan Wolkowicz and Robert Bentley. Ruiz was elected to the U.S. House of Representatives in 2012.

With less than 50 days until the primary, Ball is calling on all candidates in the race, including Ruiz, to a debate.

With the top-two primary rule, I feel the voters deserve to hear from all candidates running for the 36th Congressional District, Ball said. “This way, constituents can get to know and hear directly from the candidates and candidates can’t hide behind advertisements and propaganda. In fact, I’d like to see more debates amongst all candidates before primaries and obviously several debates before the general election.”

California’s 36th Congressional is located in the southeastern portion of the state and includes most of Riverside County, including the area from Hemet to Blythe. It also includes the desert communities of Palm Springs, Palm Desert, Indio, Coachella, Rancho Mirage, Desert Hot Springs, Indian Wells and Cathedral City.
